Who we are
The Dutch Hotline combating Child Pornography on the Internet (Meldpunt Kinderporno) is an independent private foundation. Meldpunt receives subsidies to support its activities from the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice and the European Commission. Since the start of the Dutch Hotline there has been a close cooperation between the Hotline and the Dutch Police. We are also one on the founders of http://www.inhope.org/ INHOPE, the international network of Internet hotline against child sexual abuse on the Internet. The report procedure, together with supporting information, is published on our website.
Invititation to use free Hash Check Service
The Dutch hotline has developed a technical tool to help hosting providers and website owners on a voluntary basis to prevent the dissemination of online child sexual abuse material. The tool enables parties to check MD5 and SHA-1 hashes of images with a database of hashes of known child sexual abuse material. This will help participating parties to prevent users from uploading such material to your services. The tool is provided to interested parties free of charge. A technical description of the service can be found here. We would like to invite your organization to be part of this program. To do so, you can reply to this email.
